The grain is fairly straight and is slightly inclined to the long axis (perhaps 5-10 degrees tilt). The blocks are moderately spalted with attractive dark red-brown spalting zones that serve to enhance the beauty of the grain. They've been air-dried for years to a moisture content of 10-12%. One block has a fine crack that you may wish to reinforce with CA glue, prior to working with the block. There are lots of photos -- be sure to scroll down below the first 3. I've carefully rotated each block, so that you can see all sides and ends. These will be a joy to work with! |

Excellent Rug & Unbeatable Customer Service!

I absolutely love this rug! It has completely transformed my living room—it looks surprisingly glam and feels wonderfully soft underfoot.
The feature that really sold me was that it's fully washable. I was nervous about cleaning it, but the process was surprisingly easy. I strongly recommend skipping the dryer and letting it air dry. I simply hung mine over my shower door, and it was completely dry overnight. I used a brush to gently separate the fibers, leaving it looking just as vibrant and feeling just as soft as it did when new.
Additionally, I had an interaction with their customer support team, and they were fantastic. They responded to my inquiry quickly, were respectful, and resolved my issue completely and professionally.
