Wil je een lichtere toon, dan gebruik je een drumstok met een nylon punt. Daarmee klinkt de gong meer als het slaguurwerk van een oude klok. Sommige windgongs hebben een gat in het midden, maar je hangt ze op aan kleine gaatjes in of bij de rand. De kleinere gongs, van 18 tot 30 cm, hebben een subtielere, meer bel-achtige klank door hun lichte dikte en kleinere doorsnede. Voor elke windgong is het fijn om een passend ophangframe te gebruiken; zo geef je jouw klankruimte alle aandacht die het verdient.

I find the girth of this sheep pelt perfectly acceptable. It is nice and thick and soft and fairly easy to vacuum. I frequently recline on it when stretched out on the floor, and am grateful it does not leave a mess or make noise like my dog, who should be grateful that his pelt is still attached to his body.
