Brideshead Revisited

Brideshead Revisited is Evelyn Waugh's stunning novel of duty and desire set amongst the decadent, faded glory of the English aristocracy in the run-up to the Second World War.

The most nostalgic and reflective of Evelyn Waugh's novels, Brideshead Revisited looks back to the golden age before the Second World War. It tells the story of Charles Ryder's infatuation with the Marchmains and the rapidly disappearing world of privilege they inhabit. Enchanted first by Sebastian Flyte at Oxford, then by his doomed Catholic family, in particular his remote sister, Julia, Charles comes finally to recognise his spiritual and social distance from them.Evelyn Waugh (1903-66) was born in Hampstead, second son of Arthur Waugh, publisher and literary critic, and brother of Alec Waugh, the popular novelist. In 1928 he published his first work, a life of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and his first novel, Decline and Fall, which was soon followed by Vile Bodies (1930), A Handful of Dust (1934) and Scoop (1938). In 1939 he was commissioned in the Royal Marines and later transferred to the Royal Horse Guards, serving in the Middle East and in Yugoslavia. In 1942 he published Put Out More Flags and then in 1945 Brideshead Revisited. Men at Arms (1952) was the first volume of 'The Sword of Honour' trilogy, and won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize; the other volumes, Officers and Gentlemen and Unconditional Surrender, followed in 1955 and 1961.If you enjoyed Brideshead Revisited, you might like Waugh's Vile Bodies, also available in Penguin Classics.

Best sunscreen ever!!!
This is the BEST SUNCREEN. It’s all we use-and I know, I know it’s expensive (standard is $30 a bottle) BUT it does go on sale quite often for like $20 ish which is what competitors run for and this is WAY cleaner. It’s made of a lot of organic ingredients and this one smells summery but they have unscented options too-that’s normally what I get! You can get spf 30 or 50 and they both work so well, never been burned wearing it. It’s a fine spray that goes on clear and dries quick-no white cast, no rubbing in. We live in a hot state that is sunny a lot of the year so we need a good sunscreen year round and this ticks all my boxes. This is the best product coola offers!! My entire family uses it.

Returning customer! :-)
Size: 2 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I love this product. The size is perfect, it smells amazing, and my skin has no reaction to it whatsoever (aside from what it’s supposed to do). So just a little background, my mother is Caucasian- my father is African American. I can either get a sun burn or get super tan- all depends on what products I use while under the sun. In the past, low quality products have given me a sunburn over a period of long sun exposure. Contrary to that, high quality products require me to apply less and will prevent me from sunburns. I do have to reapply, depending how much sun exposure I am getting. I originally purchased this product for a week long trip to Mexico with my boyfriend. I only bought 2 bottles- and we spent A LOT of time on the beach/ getting sun. We both used the sunscreen and STILL HAD LEFTOVERS after our trip (half a bottle still full). In addition, neither of us got sunburns- he got a nice sun kissed glow and I got a tan! It is TSA carry-on approved, very lightweight, and easy to use. I would recommend this product to anyone who asks! 10/10 will repurchase again :-)

“Holy Sun Protection, Batman! This Stuff Works!” 🦇🦸‍♂️
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
The COOLA Organic Sunscreen SPF 50 Sunblock is the real deal. It goes on smooth, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave behind that greasy, chalky layer most sunscreens do. I put it to the test during a full day outdoors, and it held strong—no burns, no irritation, just solid protection. What makes it even better is the formula: not overloaded with harsh chemicals, but still highly effective. It feels more like skincare than sunscreen, which makes reapplying far less of a chore. If Batman and Robin swapped their capes for beach towels, this would be the sunblock in their utility belts—powerful protection, clean ingredients, and a formula that actually works when the heat is on. 🦇☀️ Would you like me to also create short funny one-liner summaries for each review (like quick taglines), so you have both the full review and a quick punchy line to use?
