If you are a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan of a certain vintage, your answer to each of those questions would be yes: Peter Broadbent. He is still revered by older Wolves fans who remember his sublime football skills with great affection

It was those qualities that emerged as the unassuming youngster made the long journey from the Kent coalfields to the football hot bed that was the Black Country in the 1950s.

Sadly, Broadbent now has Alzheimer’s disease and the joy and memories he gave to many are lost to him. Here, with the help of his wife Shirley, former team-mates and fans, the author will tell the story of the man who will always be Peter the Great.

About the Author

Steve Gordos was born in Bilston and has been a Wolves fan virtually all his life. He began his journalistic career with the Wellington Journal and Shrewbury News but spent the rest of his working life with the Express & Star.

During his many years on the Sports Desk of the Express & Star, Steve acquired a deep knowledge of Wolves' history. Before he retired in 2003, he had been Sports Editor for eight years.

He still writes in the Wolves' matchday magazine and in 2009 he was invited to be on the committee to choose the first inductees into Wolves' newly-created Hall of Fame.

10/10 Great game changer for aggressive chewers

Almost perfect...upraised logo should be left off
This toy is great for relentless chewers with strong jaws! It would be almost perfect if it didn't have a "K9" logo in raised rubber on it. That is the place that my aggressive chewer shepherd/bulldog mix focuses on and is able to get small chunks off. Without that logo, he would chew the ball more evenly, instead of fixating on that one spot. He loves this ball and has chewed on it for about an hour off & on each of the 11 days he has had it. Although it is very durable so far, the flaw is the upraised logo.
