The Furfect Fit™ System

We started PupLid to provide stylish sun protection for pets of all sizes. For this to work, it was essential that the hat stay in place. Other pet hats sat too far back, restricted ear movement or used bulky straps with buckles that pulled on the fur. No wonder why dogs and cats don't like to wear (those) hats.

The streamlined design allows for maximum adjustability while keeping the ears free and the hat securely in place. We call it the Furfect Fit.

Choosing the right PupLid hat size is important! It will give your pet the best sun protection and sharpest look. Here are some tips to help pick the right size PupLid: 

• If your pet is a cat, check out our Cat Sizing Chart and Gallery.
  
  
• If your pet is right in between sizes, select the larger size. Keep in mind, there are several built-in features to help give your dog the Furfect Fit.

• For Head Width, look at your pet's head from above, and with a ruler measure the width from side to side where the hat bill would sit, like in the diagram below. Don't include the ears or the fur if your pet is fluffy.

• For Neck Size, use a tape measure to measure around the neck just behind the ears. If the elastic is too snug around the neck, try unsnapping the chinstrap to remove the small side toggles, which will open up more room. If that doesn't work, please do not keep the PupLid on your pet.
