Weapon Notes
Flamethrower: US-made man-packed flamethrowers issued from 1944, devastatingly effective against Japanese bunkers and fortified jungle positions.
Sniper: Australian snipers were highly regarded throughout the Pacific campaign, providing precision fire support in dense jungle terrain where conventional fire was difficult to direct.
Light Mortar: Portable and reliable, the light mortar provided mobile indirect fire support to Australian infantry advancing through jungle and island terrain.
