Can I use the Loam stem with carbon handlebars?
Yes. We recommend reading both the Loam stem and your handlebar manufacturer’s installation instructions before installing carbon handlebars.
Is there supposed to be a gap or no gap on the top bolts of the faceplate?
This is a “No Gap” stem, we find these stems are the easiest to install and offer the most reliable performance. Please read our installation manual for installation instructions.
Do you need to use friction paste with the stem?
If you are using carbon handlebars you may need to use friction paste. Consult your handlebar manufacturer’s installation manual.
