The Sony NEX-5, introduced in 2010, is a compact mirrorless interchangeable lens camera based on the Sony E-mount system. It features a 14.2-megapixel APS-C sized Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor (23.4 x 15.6 mm), significantly larger than typical sensors found in point-and-shoot cameras, allowing for improved image quality, better low-light performance, and shallower depth of field control.
The standard kit lens bundled with the NEX-5 is the E 18–55mm f/3.5–5.6 OSS (Optical SteadyShot), providing a 27–82.5mm equivalent focal range in 35mm terms. The lens has 11 elements in 9 groups, including 4 aspherical elements, and a 7-blade circular aperture design. It supports image stabilization through lens-based OSS and uses a linear motor for autofocus, which is contrast-detection based and includes face detection and subject tracking. The lens has a minimum focus distance of 0.25 m and a filter thread size of 49mm.
The NEX-5 supports RAW (ARW) and JPEG capture, with ISO sensitivity from 200 to 12800. Shutter speeds range from 30s to 1/4000s, and the camera offers continuous shooting up to 7 fps in speed priority mode. Video recording is available in AVCHD or MP4 formats at resolutions up to 1920x1080i at 60 fields per second. The rear display is a 3-inch tilting LCD with 921k dots and TruBlack technology, but there is no touchscreen functionality. The body is magnesium alloy, lightweight and compact, weighing approximately 287 grams including battery and card. Storage is via Memory Stick PRO Duo or SD/SDHC/SDXC cards.

A Great Filter (Installed on a 2014 Acura RDX)
I installed this on a 2015 Acura RDX and it has been a fine replacement for the original air filter. The filter offers a good value and resembles the filter that it replaced and seems to be an equivalent replacement in every way. It fit into the housing perfectly and was just as easy to replace as the original filter was. The white color of the filter also makes it easy to see if an excess of dirt has built up on the filter.
I'd recommend this filter. The materials are good, it offers equivalent functionality, and great value for the money.

Excellent quality and price
The picture above is of two different brand engine air filters. One is a Fram Extra Guard and the other is the KAX filter, which costs half as much. Can you tell which one is the cheaper KAX filter? There may be a difference in material that is not visible, but they feel and look the same. It seems like a safe bet to try out the KAX and see how well it performs/lasts.

Just Right
Fits just right. The paper filter material seems to be the same quality as the brand name filter I took out with the only percievable difference is price and packaging. One nice thing here is that once taken out of the box, the filter is wrapped in light weight plastic so you don't get the new filter dirty when taking out the old one. Just unwrap it prior to installation for a clean install. Hope this helps.

Same Quality, Cheaper Price!
Fits exactly as it should (2018 Acura RDX) and performs as well as any other brand I've used over the years. Construction and material quality appear as good as (or better) than any other off-the-shelf brand. I have no qualms about using this brand in the future and saving money doing so, compared to other brands.
