The Stunning Second Novel of a Trilogy That Began with Outline, One of New York Times Book Review's 10 Best Books of the Year

In the wake of her family's collapse, a writer and her two young sons move to London. The process of this upheaval is the catalyst for a number of transitions--personal, moral, artistic, and practical--as she endeavors to construct a new reality for herself and her children. In the city, she is made to confront aspects of living that she has, until now, avoided, and to consider questions of vulnerability and power, death and renewal, in what becomes her struggle to reattach herself to, and believe in, life.

Filtered through the impersonal gaze of its keenly intelligent protagonist, Transit sees Rachel Cusk delve deeper into the themes first raised in her critically acclaimed novel Outline and offers up a penetrating and moving reflection on childhood and fate, the value of suffering, the moral problems of personal responsibility, and the mystery of change.

In this second book of a precise and short yet epic cycle, Cusk describes the most elemental experiences, the liminal qualities of life. She captures with unsettling restraint and honesty the longing to both inhabit and flee one's life, and the wrenching ambivalence animating our desire to feel real.

It's good for any jungle book fan
Format: Paperback
I like the manga art of the book. Some parts from the source material are taken out (tabaki the jackal isn't in the manga adaptation of the novel)

Excellently done!
Format: Kindle
Welcome to the jungle! This is the first volume of “The Jungle Book.” Mowgli is a man-cub who is raised by a wolf pack in the jungle. Other stories included in this book is Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, Toomai of the elephants and the white seal. The stories were enjoyable to read. The artwork was perfect for the stories of the book. If you are expecting the story to be like the Disney movie — it’s not. There are some scary moments in the story. It’s a fascinating look of what life in the jungle could be like. Reading this manga story has made me want to go and read the original story. I have also become a fan of manga graphic novels . This is the first time that I have read one. This manga is very well done. I recommend it to everyone! Disclaimer: I received an arc of this book from the author/publisher from Netgalley. I wasn’t obligated to write a favorable review or any review at all. The opinions expressed are strictly my own.
