Missouri has witnessed the historic moment of the end of the Second World War-at 9:02 on September 2, 1945,the representative of Japan signed the unconditional surrender on the USS Missouri deck was parked at the Tokyo Bayat the end of World War II. Placed in reserve, she was recommissioned in 1955, during the Vietnam War and the Iraq War. She was fully retired in 1992.
